Yining Chen

Intern Architect | Project Coordinator

Originally from Taiwan, Yining’s passion for architecture took root during her undergraduate studies before blossoming further with a master’s degree from the University of Kansas. Yining’s decade-long professional path has been one of diversity and growth. She honed her skills during formative years at an architecture firm in Kansas and an engineering company in Pennsylvania. Now, for the past four years she’s thrived as an Architecture Intern at Bhide & Hall, bringing support to senior architects, particularly on school security upgrade projects. While immersed in the world of design, Yining finds balance through her love of historical documentaries and period dramas. At BHA, she deeply values the collaborative, supportive environment that provides clear direction while challenging her to embrace the unknown – a testament to her dedication, adaptability, and versatility. Looking back on her journey, Yining emphasizes the importance of networking and nurturing meaningful connections, which paved the way for her opportunity at BHA. Here, she continues to grow, cherishing the invaluable experience of gaining comprehensive knowledge in construction administration – a holistic perspective that will undoubtedly serve her well as she builds her architectural dreams.

A little more: One of Yining’s most memorable career highlights was translating a 200-page specification document for a Tropicana plant in China, (clearly, she’s a bilingual superstar). This simply further exemplifies her ability to bridge cultures and harness her unique skillset to bring ambitious visions to life.
